General Policies
Minimum Orders
Alpha's minimum order is $500.00 per shipping
address. If the $500.00 figure is not met, a $75.00 processing fee
may be added to the invoice.
TERMS
Alpha's standard terms are as follows:
Domestic Shipments:
Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa) or Net 30 days,
pending prior credit approval and good credit standing.
International Shipments:
Credit Card or Wire Transfer at the time of
order, unless other arrangements have been agreed to by both parties.

For your benefit, Alpha Packaging requires a written
purchase order for all customer orders. Purchase orders may be faxed
to either the St. Louis (314-427-5445) or Brooklyn (718-272-7934)
sales offices.
FOB:
All items are manufactured by Alpha Plastics
FOB St. Louis, Missouri or Brooklyn, New York – Please check
with Customer Service to make sure which plant is producing your
items.
Additional Charges
Although Alpha Packaging publishes a price list,
certain products or colors may fall below our minimum manufacturing
requirement or require the assessment of additional charges. The
standard charges, as shown below, may be in addition to those prices
listed on the Alpha Price List. Please consult your Customer Service
Representative for actual charges for your order.
Set Up Charge
$500.00 Set Up Charge to prepare and run samples
from any unit cavity, prototype or private mold.
Color Purge Charge
Alpha's minimum order for non-stock colors is
50,000 pieces. Orders for less than 50,000 pieces of non-standard
color items will be subject to a $ 250.00 color purge charge. Standard
colors for all items is shown on the Alpha Price List.
Color Premium
Our price list specifies the standard colors
for each item. There may be additional charges for other colors
or additives ( i.e. UV inhibitor).
Standard Colors:
Alpha's standard colors are listed below. For
non-standard colors there may be an additional charge as indicated:
HDPE = White and Natural, all other colors add 15% to the price
list.
PET = Clear and Amber; for White add 5%, for all other colors add
10% to the price list.
Packing
Alpha has two methods of packaging our bottles:
Tumble Pack – bottles are randomly packed in the carton
Stack Pack – bottles are placed in the carton in rows and
layers
Stack Packing
Orders requesting stack packing on items normally
tumble packed will be subject to a 10% upcharge to cover the additional
labor cost. Please consult our Product Listing to see how each item
is packaged.
Returns
Any customer desiring to return product to Alpha
Packaging, please contact your Customer Service Representative for
a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number, and instructions. If
the return is for reasons other than a quality concern, the customer
is responsible for the freight. Alpha will charge a 5% restocking
fee if product is returned in sellable condition. If product needs
to be repackaged, a 20% fee will be assigned.
Debit Memos
We kindly ask that customers speak with our
Customer Service Department prior to issuing debit memos to Alpha.
This should be done within 30 days of delivery. We can then determine
if a debit memo is the best course of action to be taken. Please
make sure to receive an authorization number for a debit memo from
Customer Service.
FDA Approved Resins
Alpha uses only FDA approved resins in the manufacture
of our bottles. Please contact your Sales Representative for information
on resin options, or to request resin specifications.
Certificates of Analysis
Requests for Certificates of Analysis, other
documentation, marking, or alternate product specifications, must
be made in writing at the time of order.
Heavy Gram Bottles
Heavy Gram Weight bottles in both HDPE and PET
are available in some sizes, for an upcharge. Please contact your
Alpha Representative for pricing and specifications.
Shipping Quantities
Alpha reserves the right to vary any shipment
by up to 10% over, or 5% under, the ordered quantity.
Any product manufactured for a specific customer with a designated
release date, including custom colors and stock items, must be shipped
and invoiced the same month as the release date. If for any reason
the product cannot be shipped due to no fault of Alpha, Alpha may
invoice for the unreleased products, prior to the end of that month.
Product Warranty
Alpha warrants its products will conform to
all Alpha product specifications. No warranty or representation
other than is set forth in this standard warranty are applicable.
Any recommendations or suggestions regarding end uses
and methods of use are offered only as recommendations based upon
industry experience, and do not constitute a guarantee of performance
with any product or package.
Each user must test its product's compatibility and
performance with Alpha's packaging products, and the user has the
sole responsibility for evaluating and testing its products in Alpha's
products. No additional warranty or performance assurances are implied.
Compatibility
The burden of whether or not a product is compatible
with our bottles ultimately rests with the customer. Alpha will
assume no financial responsibility for a lack of compatibility.
We would be happy to assist in the testing of our bottles with any
potential product.

Shipping Information
We are happy to work with almost any carrier
that you specify. Unfortunately, Alpha does not route freight for
customer orders, nor are we responsible for freight costs, unless
stated in writing by an authorized Alpha Sales Representative. All
orders ship on pallets, unless other arrangements have been made
in advance, and so stated on the customer order.
Our standard pallet is a GCMI 48" x 40"
wood pallet.
Our standard bottle carton dimensions are L=24" W=15"
H=24".
Cartons for our 1 oz. Boston Rounds are L=24" W=15" H=12",
with 30 cartons per pallet.
Most stock closure cartons are L=24" W=15" H=12"
, with 36 - 42 cases per pallet.

There are 20 cartons of bottles per pallet, for most domestic shipments,
15 cartons for overseas containers and other short trailers.
LTL - 15cs. per pallet / 78" high.
Case Weight: 25 lbs. per carton on most Alpha products.
Call for closure weights. On UPS or Federal Express shipments our
cartons are rated as 30 lbs each.
Insurance regulations prohibit us from loading refrigerated
vans or roll top trucks.
Dock Appointments
Due to limited dock space, all carriers are
required to call our St. Louis warehouse, 314-428-7296, to establish
a dock appointment. We recommend calling 24 hours in advance of
the shipment. Our normal shipping hours are: Monday - Friday 8:00
A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Central Standard Time.

Pallet Charges
All pallets will be billed at the rate of $8.00
each, unless otherwise stated in writing by your Alpha Sales Representative,
prior to ordering.
Sample Requests
Please call, fax, or e-mail your Customer Service
Representative, or use our convenient on-line form to request samples.
Alpha will usually ship your request within 2 working days by UPS
Ground. If overnight delivery is required, please provide your Federal
Express or UPS account number for billing.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS & SHIPMENTS
Pro forma invoices
We regret that we cannot issue a Pro forma invoice
without a written customer purchase order. The purchase order must
show:
• Company Name
• Shipping Address
• Items Ordered
• Description
• Quantities
• Pricing
• Certificate Requests or Special Handling or Marking Requirements.
Pro forma invoices are valid for 10 days from the
date of issue.
Orders
We regret that we cannot enter any orders for
custom colors or special items until we are in receipt of payment
for the order.
Cancellations
Orders for custom items or colors cannot be
cancelled once production has commenced or colorant has been ordered.
Any products manufactured for custom orders will be the responsibility
of the customer, once production has begun, and cannot be cancelled.
